Peer Review Policy

Ramooz-e-Tahqeeq is firmly committed to maintaining academic excellence, transparency, and integrity in its publishing process. The peer review system is a cornerstone of this commitment, ensuring that all published research meets the journal’s high standards for originality, quality, and scholarly contribution.

Double-Blind Peer Review Process

Ramooz-e-Tahqeeq follows a double-blind peer review model to ensure impartiality and fairness.

  • Both the authors’ and reviewers’ identities are kept confidential throughout the review process.

  • Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the subject area.

  • The process ensures that reviews are based solely on academic merit, free from bias or personal influence.

Selection of Reviewers

Reviewers are chosen carefully from a pool of qualified scholars and researchers.

  • Selection is based on subject expertise, academic reputation, and publication record.

  • The journal ensures diversity in reviewer representation, considering geographical, institutional, and disciplinary backgrounds.

  • In cases where a potential conflict of interest exists (e.g., collaboration or affiliation with the author), the reviewer is replaced immediately to preserve objectivity.

Manuscript Evaluation Criteria

Reviewers evaluate submissions using the following academic standards:

  • Originality and Contribution: The extent to which the work offers new insights or perspectives.

  • Methodology: Clarity, validity, and appropriateness of research methods.

  • Clarity and Structure: Logical organization, clear language, and academic coherence.

  • Relevance and Significance: Alignment with the journal’s scope and value to the research community.

  • References and Citations: Accuracy, completeness, and adherence to citation standards.

  • Ethical Standards: Verification that the manuscript is free from plagiarism, data manipulation, or ethical violations.

Reviewer Recommendations

After evaluation, reviewers provide one of the following recommendations:

  • Accept: The manuscript meets publication standards without revisions.

  • Minor Revisions: Requires small improvements before acceptance.

  • Major Revisions: Needs significant changes before reconsideration.

  • Reject: Does not meet the journal’s publication criteria.

The editorial team uses these recommendations to make the final decision, ensuring fairness and transparency.

Author Revisions

Authors receive detailed feedback from reviewers to enhance the quality of their work.

  • Authors must address all reviewer comments clearly and resubmit the revised manuscript.

  • If the author disagrees with any point, they must provide a reasoned explanation.

  • Revised manuscripts may be sent back to the original reviewers to verify whether the revisions meet the required standards.

Editorial Decision

The final decision on each manuscript rests with the editorial board, based on reviewers’ evaluations and the authors’ responses.

  • The editorial team strives to make decisions within 4–6 weeks of submission, depending on the complexity of the review.

  • All decisions are communicated promptly and transparently to the authors.

Ethical Standards in Peer Review

The journal adheres to strict ethical principles throughout the review process:

  • Confidentiality: Reviewers must treat manuscripts as confidential documents.

  • Impartiality: Reviews must be based solely on academic quality, not author identity or affiliations.

  • Conflict of Interest: Reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts before accepting an assignment.

  • Integrity: Misconduct such as plagiarism or biased reviewing is strictly prohibited.

Transparency and Feedback

Ramooz-e-Tahqeeq values open communication and constructive criticism.

  • Authors receive clear and respectful feedback explaining the reasons for acceptance, revision, or rejection.

  • Rejected manuscripts are provided with feedback to help authors improve for future submissions.

Open Peer Review (Optional)

While the journal primarily follows a double-blind system, Ramooz-e-Tahqeeq may, with consent from both parties, facilitate open peer review to promote transparency and dialogue.
In such cases, reviewer comments may be published alongside the article to enhance scholarly engagement.

Handling Ethical Violations

If a manuscript is found to involve ethical misconduct such as plagiarism, data falsification, or fabrication, it will be rejected or retracted immediately.
If the article has already been published, a formal retraction notice will be issued in accordance with international ethical guidelines (COPE standards).

Confidentiality of Reviewers

Reviewer identities remain strictly confidential, unless they choose to disclose themselves voluntarily. This ensures fairness, prevents undue influence, and maintains the journal’s credibility.

Commitment to Transparency and Integrity

The editorial board ensures that every stage of the peer review process is conducted with fairness, academic rigor, and professionalism.
All manuscripts undergo a thorough, unbiased evaluation before publication to maintain the scholarly reputation of Ramooz-e-Tahqeeq and to foster trust within the research community.
